Lines for Life is excited to create and support a statewide network of Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) trainers, who in turn will lead Education Service District (ESD) staff and Community Mental Health Providers (CMHPs) in learning evidence-based suicide prevention methods.
Get Certified in QPR
QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention curriculum that teaches individuals to recognize someone at risk, intervene with confidence and competence and refer them to the appropriate source to receive the help they need.
QPR is geared towards individuals who have had limited training or information about suicide prevention and are looking for a starting point to understand their role in preventing suicide and feel empowered with skills/tools to help. QPR is accessible due to short and simplified outline of the intervention and presentation material which makes it great for training all school staff/faculty/parents and youth.

Become a QPR Trainer
This statewide initiative provides funding for training QPR trainers across Oregon who will receive ongoing support from the QPR Statewide Coordinator as they bring this urgently needed curriculum into their communities. A monthly learning collaborative will be hosted by Lines for Life for all QPR trainers in the state of Oregon. This provides opportunities for connection, networking and skill acquisition to bolster QPR efforts across our state.
If you’re interested in becoming a QPR trainer for your organization or community, please complete the application below for QPR Training for Trainers (T4T). Applications are review based within a few weeks of their submission and prioritized with a focus on: youth-serving organizations, trainers who can offer public training, bilingual trainers and trainers in areas with limited resources or QPR trainers.
