Prevention Programs
Lines for Life’s Prevention programs aid county, state, and regional communities to set up and support systems which reduce the prevalence of suicide and substance use. We supply culturally responsive strategies to meet the needs of each demographic or population.
Skills Training
Lines for Life offers various training in skills and awareness to help communities and professionals understand and prevent suicide and mental health crisis.
Volunteer
Lines for Life offers volunteer and internship opportunities for adults. Volunteers and interns answer crisis calls in-person at our Portland call center.
Intervention & Postvention Programs
Lines for Life runs several programs designed to support and reduce barriers for communities, schools, and organizations for mental health services, and postvention programs to assess and prevent further harm when a suicide death or attempt, or an overdose occurs.
Policy & Advocacy
Lines for Life advocates for state and federal policies that promote mental wellness and prevent substance abuse and suicide. We work with legislators and community partners to create sustainable, positive changes in the way public services and communities respond to crisis and mental wellness.
