As we step into 2026, Lines for Life remains committed to our mission and purpose of bringing hope to people wherever they are, at every stage of life, and in moments when it’s needed most. In the year ahead, we are excited to continue expanding our reach, strengthening our partnerships, and deepening our impact across Oregon and beyond. From crisis lines to community-based initiatives, our work is rooted in connection, compassion, and the belief everyone deserves access to support.
Expanding Hope for Adults in Custody
In 2026, Lines for Life is bringing hope to Oregon’s Adults in Custody (AICs) through the implementation of our Custody to Counseling Pipeline initiative in partnership with the Oregon Department of Corrections. This work focuses on improving access to behavioral health support during incarceration, diversifying Oregon’s behavioral workforce, and strengthening connections to care during reentry. By addressing gaps in the transition from custody to community, we aim to reduce barriers, support long-term wellbeing, and promote stability for individuals as they rebuild their lives.
Supporting Youth Through Expanded YouthLine Services
We are also excited to bring hope to youth by expanding YouthLine services through a new office on Maui. With increased staffing and hours, YouthLine will be able to reach more young people who are seeking understanding, peer support, and a safe place to talk. At a time when many youths are navigating stressors, uncertainty, and mental health challenges, this expansion ensures more consistent access to care and connection.
Continuing Care for the Construction Industry
The construction industry faces disproportionately high suicide rates, and our commitment to this community remains strong. In 2026, we will continue offering hope through our Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership, including education, training, construction specific resources, and access to the Construction Careline. By meeting construction workers where they are and reducing stigma around mental health, we strive to create safer, more supportive workplaces.
Always Here Through Our Crisis Lines
At the heart of our mission are the lines that provide immediate, compassionate support every day. In the coming year, Lines for Life will continue offering hope through:
- 988 Suicide and Crisis Line
- Oregon Hopeline
- Military Helpline
- Senior Loneliness Line
- Construction Careline
- Alcohol and Drug Helpline
- YouthLine
These services ensure that no matter someone’s age, background, or circumstance, a caring, trained listener is just a call or text away to bring support to every walk of life.
As we look ahead, we invite you to stay connected and learn more about how Lines for Life is serving communities, responding to needs, and building pathways to care.
