Cultural Engagement, Equity & Inclusion Director – One of Lines for Life’s 6 core values is equity, so we are excited to hire a Cultural Engagement, Equity and Inclusion Director who will develop initiatives to expand to reach an increasingly diverse set of people in Oregon and beyond, as well as to lead the development and implementation of proactive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within Lines for Life. Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator – This position will develop and coordinate Lines for Life’s suicide prevention and postvention programs. This position will collaborate with Lines for Life’s crisis lines department and community leaders to integrate lived experience and evidence-based best practices into the programs and will oversee the logistics of the programs.
Overnight Crisis Lines Shift Supervisor – This position supervises Crisis Intervention Specialists and volunteers during the overnight shift to ensure that all crisis lines calls are answered with care and compassion, and within the scope of the program. This position requires the ability to provide clinical guidance, triage phone calls and actively manage the call flow in the crisis room, and provide constructive feedback. This position requires the ability to work three or four overnight shifts per week (32-40 hours) and we’re open to telecommuting one day per week.
Crisis Lines Shift Supervisors (12:30 pm – 9 pm) – Lines for Life is creating a new shift that overlaps with its current day and swing shifts, where the core hours will be 12:30 pm – 9 pm to meet the needs resulting from an anticipated increase in call volume during those hours. Lines for Life is looking to hire 2 new Shift Supervisors to provide clinical leadership to Crisis Intervention Specialists and volunteers during this new shift. 1 of these positions will regularly work Sundays – Thursdays and the other position will regularly work Mondays – Saturdays. Crisis Lines Administrative Assistant– This position will support the growing administrative needs of the crisis lines department, including coordinating crisis lines schedules, assisting with data collection and reporting, and providing meeting and event support. Application Deadline: 11/1/2019.
Crisis Lines Team Leads (Early Swing and Overnight Shifts) – This position assists the Crisis Lines Shift Supervisors with on-the-floor supervision including managing call flow, providing clinical judgments, supporting with rescues, troubleshooting technology issues, and on-the-job training of Lines for Life’s Crisis Intervention Specialists and Crisis Lines Volunteers to ensure that all crisis calls are answered with care and compassion. Lines for Life currently has 2 Team Lead openings: 1 during its new 12:30 pm – 9 pm early swing shift and 1 during its overnight shift 9 pm – 7:30 am. Application Deadline: 11/4/2019.
Crisis Intervention Specialists – This position answers calls on all of Lines for Life’s crisis and referral lines with care and compassion, and within the scope of the program. Over the past 12 months, Lines for Life answered over 114,000 calls and our volume is In order to help us meet the needs of our callers, we are currently looking to hire at least 11 full-time crisis intervention specialists to work between 12:30 pm – 9 pm, plus add 1 additional teammate to our Swing Shift (3 – 11:30 pm or 3:30 pm – 12 pm) and 1 additional Overnight Crisis Intervention Specialist who will work four 10 hour shifts between 9:00 pm – 7:30 am. If you are passionate about helping people in crisis, have a degree in a related behavioral health science field, and have strong active listening and empathy skills, then we encourage you to apply.
Quality Assurance Specialist – Lines for Life is seeking to add 1 more Specialist to its QA team. This mental health professional with strong clinical and analytical skills will help ensure that the highest quality of emergency mental health care and support is provided to Lines for Life’s crisis callers, especially to veterans, active duty service members and their families in accordance with the Veteran’s Crisis Line (VCL) clinical quality assurance standards.
