Suicide Prevention Lifeline & Veterans Crisis Line 

1-800-273-8255 (for Veterans Crisis Line, press 1 when prompted) 

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline connects callers to trained crisis counselors in their area who can offer support and resources. Lines for Life answers over 25,000 Oregon calls to the Lifeline each year.

Lines for Life Crisis & Helpline Service


Texting services (except YouthLine) are currently operated during limited hours, Mon-Fri from 2-6pm Pacific. YouthLine texting services are operating normally.

Alcohol & Drug Helpline assists those struggling with substance abuse and can provide referrals to local resources for peer support and treatment.

Behavioral Health Support Line


Behavioral Health Support Line provides immediate behavioral health screening, counseling services, and referrals to available mental health and substance use recovery providers nearby for ongoing care, using a statewide directory tool. Callers do not need to be in a crisis to contact this line.

Military Helpline


The Military Helpline offers help and hope to all military-connected community members. This helpline is operated independently and not affiliated with the Department of Defense.

Racial Equity Support Line 

503-575-3764 – available Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm Pacific Time 

Racial Equity Support Line provides emotional support and resource referral to those experiencing the impacts of racist violence, microaggressions, racial discrimination, and cross-cultural issues.

Senior Loneliness Line


Senior Loneliness is a service for Oregonians 55 and older, in partnership with Oregon Health Authority. Our team of volunteers and staff are specially trained in working with older adults to provide friendly conversation, support, and resource referral.

YouthLine is a teen-to-teen helpline which answers calls, texts, and chats from anyone 21 or under. Trained teen volunteers are available to help between 4pm and 10pm Pacific Time. Calls are answered by adults at all other hours. No problem is too big or too small!
