Behavioral Health Support Line

1-800-923-HELP (4357)

The Behavioral Health Support Line is a service for callers in Oregon that provides immediate emotional support, schedules free short-term counseling services, and makes referrals to mental health and substance use recovery providers for ongoing care. Callers do not need to be in a crisis to contact this line.

We’re with you, 24/7.

Many people wait to find a mental health provider or substance use recovery program until they need it now – and finding a provider can feel especially daunting when you need urgent support.

We’ll learn about what you’re going through and get to know your needs.

When you call, you’ll reach someone immediately for crisis support. We will listen as you talk through your needs, and if our service is a good fit for you, schedule your first appointment with a counselor.

Follow up with a mental health counselor who can provide three or four 45-minute counseling sessions – free of charge.

We will work with you to determine your immediate needs. Together, we’ll map out steps you can take to begin improving your quality of life. During the three or four counseling sessions, we will plan together for what comes next – including helping you find a provider for long-term support.

We’ll help you find the right long-term care for you.

The Behavioral Health Support Line can assist you in finding providers who serve your community, and who provide care in a language you speak.

If the provider you meet with isn’t a good fit, we’ll do our best to provide additional referrals.

Everyone needs a boost sometimes.

We can help as needed after-hours or between sessions with your provider if you’re having a hard day. If you’re waiting for an upcoming appointment and need to talk to someone right away, give us a call.
