Application Information & Applicant Support Center
About the Funding Opportunity
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has released a Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) for Culturally Responsive Youth Suicide Intervention and Prevention (YSIPP) Small-Grants to support culturally specific suicide prevention programming across Oregon. Lines for Life (LFL is providing education and grant readiness support for organizations interested in this funding opportunity.
Through this funding opportunity, OHA seeks to support, strengthen, and connect Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) that provide culturally specific services across the full continuum of the Oregon Suicide Prevention Framework, including upstream prevention, intervention, community-based programming, culturally specific treatment options, and postvention supports.
OHA’s goal is to strengthen Oregon’s suicide prevention infrastructure while bolstering the evidence base for culturally specific approaches to suicide prevention.
Examples of programming may include:
- Tribal best practices and Indigenous approaches to suicide prevention
- Programming that centers culturally based protective factors
- Programming that strengthens cultural identity as a protective factor against suicide
- Community-driven prevention, intervention, treatment, and postvention strategies
