DESCRIPTION:A Culturally Infused Workshop on Suicide Prevention for Community Members\n\n\n\nThis training is open to community members in Oregon. \nLines for Life is proud to offer this free\, 2-hour virtual workshop to community members as part of our mission to prevent suicide and promote mental wellness. \n“Be Sensitive\, Be Brave for Suicide Prevention” (BSBB for SP) infuses culture and diversity throughout a foundational workshop on suicide prevention. This workshop teaches community members to act as eyes and ears for suicidal distress and to connect individuals to help. \nCommunity members will learn how to: \n\nIdentify signs of suicide\nAsk if someone is considering suicide sensitively and confidently\nConnect individuals with the appropriate support\nApproach suicide prevention in a culturally sensitive manner\nRespond to community needs and decrease stigma\n\nIn order to participate in this training\, you will need to have access to technology that allows for you to join a Zoom meeting.
