Join the Oregon Helpers Wellness Initiative – a service of Lines for Life – for an interactive four-part wellness workshop.
The series is an opportunity for reflection and support, in which participants engage in an inquiry process and develop their own personalized wellness vision. This vision acts to clarify steps and identify the barriers that may exist to meeting one’s own wellness needs. Participants leave with a clearer commitment to their own wellness, and a vision of how to integrate wellness into their current lives as helpers.
Sessions are designed as four sequential parts – three “building blocks” and the fourth being a culmination of what participants have learned; however, we understand that due to scheduling difficulties, participants may not be able to attend all four sessions. Please register separately for each session you will attend.
Lines for Life offers this four-part workshop series (valued at $325) at no cost to healthcare and frontline workers, and those in other helping roles, thanks to support from Oregon Health Authority.
Hosting this event series is Yvette Garcia, M.A. Yvette has over 10 years of experience supporting individuals to stay in touch with their personal “why” and bringing out the best in themselves while navigating the stressors of work and everyday life. With extensive training in organization psychology and education, Yvette brings a deep sense of curiosity and passion for helping individuals and work teams tap into their own wisdom about solutions that are aligned to their personal growth and support the development of healthy human systems.

Session 1: Leveraging Your Strengths

Get in touch with your lived experiences of resilience while taking inventory of your personal strengths. Explore how your strengths and resilience can help you move forward as you center your own wellness.
Session 2: Exploring Your Core Values
August 11, 2021 | 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Learn about the connection between your personal values and your sense of wellness. Together, we identify core values and focus on the ways our values can inform and improve our wellness as we continue the path to creating a wellness vision.
Session 3: Managing Stress – Your Personal Plan
August 18, 2021 | 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Stress and fatigue are useful signals from your body that you may need to re-center your needs. In this session, map your early signals of stress and work toward catching these warning signs earlier, minimizing the toll that stress takes on your body and mind. Make a personal plan for ways you can intervene when stress emerges.
Session 4: The Power of Visualization – Creating Our Wellness Vision

Review your learning and create a draft of your wellness vision. Using the building blocks we have explored (personal strengths, core values, and stress warning signs), create a vision board that captures your personal plan for wellness. Explore themes and tools that may work for you when you need reminders about re-centering your needs in the future.
