Volunteers and interns answer calls from a variety of our core lines, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>988 Suicide &amp; Crisis Lifeline<\/li>\n<li>YouthLine<\/li>\n<li>Alcohol &amp; Drug Helpline<\/li>\n<li>Military Helpline<\/li>\n<li>Senior Loneliness Line<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Our volunteers: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are trained to compassionately and confidently support callers dealing with issues like thoughts of suicide, substance use, mental health concerns, and general wellbeing.<\/li>\n<li>Come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences &mdash; many are looking for hands on clinical experience while they pursue certifications and degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Have an empathetic and non-judgmental attitude, emotional intelligence, and the ability to make a long-term commitment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2024, our call center\u202fanswered\u202fover 167,977 calls.\u202fWe could not support this many people without the\u202fgenerous commitment of volunteers like you![\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row use_custom_gutter=&#8221;on&#8221;
