As Veterans Day approaches, we focus on the tangible ways we can thank our veterans for their sacrifice and service for our country.
One of the best ways is to hire returning vets and their spouses. Generally speaking Veterans make great employees. They are results oriented and have a keen sense of the importance of time.
Last November Starbucks began an initiative to fire 10,000 Veterans and their spouses nationwide. Howard Schultz, Starbucks CEO, has just come out with a book detailing their reasoning and calling on other business to hire vets.
